  • This weekend I worked hard on the SRC program, really hope everyone likes it
  • This week I am attending the SRC meeting on Wednesday, I need to work on facebook promotion and workshop layout for SRC, I also need to start focusing attention on the directory- when is the new due day for that?
  • I'm sorry I didn't blog this week, but I've put in well over 10 hours and need to start focusing on school projects

Laurren week 6?

I'm sorry I didn't post, I was hoping to get more ACLA stuff done this weekend but the weekend flew by! I am counting my bookmobile hours for this week, I helped write a blog with anita, I did read two honor award children's books and i'll try to post that this week, I have been trying to keep up with blogs and e-mails espeically in reguards to SRC. I'm sorry I feel like I was a slacker this week but I really am trying.

This week I really need to :
1.) e-mail beth and wrap up things with one book
2.) write a post on honor books
3.) I also need to create and type up my folk dance program, when is the latest this can be handed in?
4.) Get a plan write up for layout of SRC workshop, we need to ask if they have the internet access for us.

  • Yes I feel confident with publisher, I would like to make a book list or some for SRC with this software just as soon as I get the chance.
  • Anita and I will get together this weekend at the latest and work on the letters of support.
  • We have talked about library visits but have not planned anything, I think I may try to do mine over spring break or something, I will try harder soon with this soon.
  • I need to get back on track with the performers directory.
  • Yes I plan on making it to green tree on Friday, probably just for the afternoon slot.
I am planning on coming to the Opera Office Thursday, however I have to be back in class by noon because my class is taking a field trip, so I need to check the bus schedule and see if this will work out. I plan on finishing up the layout plans for the SRC workshop after this meeting.
  • I am unsure if I knew about the Readers’ Theatre page of links and resources and workshop, can one of you direct me to what I can do to help for that or the details on it please sorry.

Touching Base

Hi Guys!

Just touching base with projects and deadlines:
  • Both: I didn’t see posts about what you each did last week on the intern blog – could you get that up there today/tonight?
  • Both: have you touched base with Beth about your work with One Book? Do you have a new deadline?
  • Laurren – how is playing around with Publisher going? You shared that great piece you did for school, so I imagine you’re feeling confident with the software?
  • Anita: The Tween Task Force is meeting on 2/26 from 9:30-11:30 (not sure where yet.) Will you be able to attend? I should be there, so if it’s up in Sewickley, I can drive. It might be in Oakland at CLP-Main. Also, have you finished the research about what other libraries around the country are doing with tweens? Will you have the ‘case for tweens’ and reading lists on the wiki finished?
  • Anita: How is the pageflakes/netvibes project going? I’d really like to see it ASAP to see if we can use it and if so, I’ll need to start adding links because I’m already doing that on our wiki.
  • Both: This is also the month to be working on letters of support. We need to get on that! Check the wiki for details – I’d like letters mailed out by the end of the month – and you’ll need to run them by me before sending. You’ll also need to print them out here at the office on letterhead.
  • Both: How are arrangements going on the library visits? Any firm plans?
  • Both: We also need to be working on creating the Readers’ Theatre page of links and resources. That workshop is mid-March so
  • Laurren: And the performers’ directory needs to be finished by the end of March – how’s that coming?
  • Both: Will either or both of you be at Friday’s all-day workshop in Green Tree?
  • Both: You’re both coming to the Opera Offices visit on Thursday AM, right? We’ll need to leave the ACLA offices by 9 that morning.

For the projects with ‘both’ – why don’t you decide who will be responsible for what? The visits you both need to do, but there are other projects you can divide up.

Also, time sheets are due at noon on Wednesday! $$$$$$$ Don’t forget to include your bookmobile hours!
